Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. She spent most of her early years listening to classical music Boleros from the past, classic ranchero or romantic music, as well older classical songs. Ana enjoys tangos and drama and opera. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her, she started more serious training in vocals at age 16 under the tutelage of renown Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. She sang in Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a musician and student. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She is currently performing the traditional Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. Passion and enthusiasm in music, art and performing keeps her involved with many local organizations as a performer and teacher. Ana was also a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor at the Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for the opportunity to share her passion and love for old-fashioned Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to inspire a passion to, particularly in the younger age group to keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
